Opening Times:

Shere Museum is open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays
1pm - 5pm

The Museum will be closed from 5pm 18th December and will reopen January 7th 2012
The archives are open by appointment.


There is no entry charge but donations are welcome to assist in the further development of Shere Museum. The Museum is accessible by wheelchair to the ground floor on request.


There is a range of books of local interest and other items for sale.

Surrey History Centre - A wealth of information at Surrey County Council's purpose built history centre in Woking, Surrey

Surrey Museums - Surrey Museums Consultative Committee, a partnership between the County, District and Borough councils.

Shere, Gomshall and Peaslake Local History Society - The society meets every month for lectures and outings. Members also conduct research into the local history of the area.
